Owner Rick Uliano is an accomplished pilot, he has been flying airplanes for 27 years, so far. He began building airplane models when he was six years old.

Rick graduated from Daniel Webster College in Nashua,NH in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Flight Training and Aviation Management and again in 1997 from Embry Riddle University with a Masters in Aeronautical Science. Today, Rick works for the Washington State Air National Guard. He is a Command Pilot in the KC-135.

Just Plane Hobbies began in the year 2000. Rick created the business to validate his life-long hobby of shopping for, storing, and occasionally building World War II 1/48 scale airplane models. Rick continues to improve his model building skills and knowledge through constant trial and error as well as involvement in professsional model building organizations, as he has done since 1968.

Just Plane Hobbies is a family oriented business! Rick's wife and two children assist with all aspects of the business,including filling orders,writing ads,and assisting at model shows.
Occasionally, Rick needs to deploy with his job in the Washington Air National Guard so orders may take a little longer getting to you. Please feel confident that your order is important to us and will be filled as soon as possible.
